The Next Play-to-Earn Game You’ll Want to Keep an Eye On

This is your introduction to Infinity Skies, a fusion of the gameplay you would likely recognize in the games; Animal Crossing, The Sims and Diablo. Looking at the game in more detail, Infinity Skies can be better described as a sandbox game where users can build castles, trade assets, attend feasts and take part in different quests. Not only did we design the game for entertainment and letting users put their creativity to the test, but we also leveraged the play-to-earn model to ensure users could be rewarded for their progress in the game.

Almost every asset is an NFT that can be traded or used to create the most prestigious castle in the sky. In addition to attaining a high ranking on the leaderboards and collecting rare NFTs, a final goal of the game comes down to turning a player’s time into money.

Since the building component is closely tied to the play-to-earn mechanics, users who have collected more NFTs in the castle creation process will be eligible for higher income. Furthermore, players at any time can sell their items for the local cryptocurrency, “Skyblocks.”

Taking a technical stance

Skyblock (ISKY) is the BEP-20 token native to Infinity Skies. Players can trade Skyeblocks in the game for NFTs in the game or website marketplace. As players earn NFTs, they can also be swapped for any other cryptocurrency through the decentralized exchange, Pancakeswap.

Each transaction that occurs with Skyblock results in a 5% burn. Similar to other modern DeFi projects on BSC, the burn amount gets split, removing a portion from the market. 3% of these funds go into a reward pool, which is distributed on a weekly basis. Players can later become eligible for these rewards if they are successful in completing a certain number of tasks. Another 1.5% is distributed to all wallet holders through a claim pool that fairly distributes the share. The final 0.5% is used to further support the development of Infinity Skies.

More than play-to-earn

Even without the play-to-earn component, which we wholeheartedly bought into (quite literally), users have the opportunity to build a castle/island on their own Sky-plot. Varying in sizes, plots can increase by adding NFTs and may include several different structures, decorations and additions to the island itself. Each island can be modified to include a body of water or to include grass or snow. The next biggest scope feature is the placement of structures such as walls or other outdoor decorations. Again, nearly all assets used in the game are NFTs that vary in rarity and can be used in different ways in the game.

As players continue to grow their islands, they may also use them as a location for creative and social gathering hubs. Islands can be moved closer to their friends or other players to allow easy access for more visitors. Players can socialize with the owner and other visitors in the global lobby and play minigames through NFT decorations set around a castle. Minigames are chosen randomly and may include anything from air hockey to chess or even pool.

After spending a minimum of 10 minutes at a castle, players will also have the opportunity to cast a vote for a prestige point. The intent is that players who have created nice-looking castles will be recognized, and potentially rise to king status. Further, travellers can enjoy an enhanced social experience in the game.

All kinds of options

Players have many options in gameplay, from political conquests, travel to unique islands or the opportunity to engage in challenges against monsters. These adventures may result in rewards in the form of silver and gold ‘Crystal Fragments’, which can be fused into silver and gold ‘Summoning Crystals’ that can be used to mint, or rather ‘summon’, various rarities of NFTs. Among them are feasts, an NFT of common rarity that may be burned to help bump a player’s castle to the top of the leaderboard.

As players become more advanced in their gameplay and burn more feasts, they can work towards Kingship status, a title awarded to the top three ranked players of the last month. Attaining Kingship status grants each top player a 0.33% tax (1% of all kings combined) on NFT trades traded during the month of Kingship. In addition to having greater opportunities to earn, players may also receive a unique crown NFT with Royal rarity status.

Unlike other DeFi games, Infinity Skies is a project that we believe will help further our mission at Dreamfuel Games to bring innovation, creativity and entertainment to decentralized finance, while simultaneously bringing smiles to faces all over the world.
